Permitted use
You may use the website and documented API for lawful diagnostics, research, education and security work. You must not use the service to disrupt systems, evade access controls, automate harassment, overload upstream providers or violate applicable law.
Public evidence, not authority
DNS, RDAP, BGP, geolocation, certificate and HTTP observations can be incomplete, delayed, cached or intentionally obscured. Results are informational and should not be treated as legal ownership records, proof of identity, a vulnerability assessment or a guarantee of security.
Availability and limits
The service is provided as available. Requests may be cached, rate-limited or rejected to protect DNSTrace.dev and its upstream data providers. Features and data sources may change without notice.
Third-party services
DNSTrace.dev depends on independent public services. Their output, uptime and terms are outside our control. Trademarks and provider names belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify observed infrastructure signals.
No warranty
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided without warranties and DNSTrace.dev is not liable for decisions made solely from its output. Verify important findings with an authoritative source.
